A Guided Estate Planning Experience

Estate Planning Is More Than a Set of Documents

Estate planning involves important decisions about how personal, financial, healthcare, and family matters should be handled during life, incapacity, and after death.

For many clients, the difficult part is not recognizing that an estate plan is important — it is understanding how to begin and how the different stages fit together.

AMN International helps make that process more approachable by coordinating education, intake, attorney consultation, enrollment, document delivery, execution, notarization, and related support through the AmeriEstate Legal Plan.

AMN’s Role in the Process

Amber-Nichole Hess works with clients as an AmeriEstate Legal Plan representative, helping individuals and families prepare for the attorney-led estate planning process.

AMN’s role may include:

• Estate planning education
• Initial consultation and information gathering
• AmeriEstate Legal Plan enrollment support
• Intake and fact-finding coordination
• Scheduling and preparation for attorney consultation
• Communication and follow-through during the process
• Completed estate plan delivery
• Signing and execution coordination
• Notarization when required
• Witness coordination when applicable
• General client support through completion

AMN does not provide legal advice or independently prepare estate planning documents.

Attorney-Led Legal Planning

The legal portion of the estate planning process is handled by licensed attorneys through the AmeriEstate Legal Plan.

The attorney consultation gives clients the opportunity to discuss their circumstances, goals, questions, and legal planning needs directly with the attorney responsible for the legal advice and preparation of the estate plan.

AMN supports the process before and after that attorney consultation while keeping the roles clearly separated.

Estate Planning Documents

Depending on the legal plan and recommendations made by the attorney, an estate plan may include documents such as:

• Revocable living trust
• Pour-over will
• Durable power of attorney
• Advance health care directive
• Trust certification
• Asset and funding instructions
• Related estate planning documents

The documents included in an individual client’s plan are determined through the attorney-led estate planning process.

Who Estate Planning Is For

Estate planning is not only for retirees or individuals with extremely large estates.

Adults at many stages of life may benefit from discussing estate planning with a qualified attorney, particularly when they own property, have children or other dependents, want to identify trusted decision-makers, or want greater clarity regarding how personal and financial matters should be handled.

AMN works with:

• Individuals and couples
• Families with children
• Homeowners
• Professionals and business owners
• Seniors and retirees
• Adult children helping parents begin the process
• Individuals experiencing major life transitions

Estate Planning Education & Seminars

Amber-Nichole also provides educational estate planning presentations and seminars designed to help individuals and communities better understand the estate planning process and the resources available through the AmeriEstate Legal Plan.

Presentations may be offered to:

• Senior communities
• Professional organizations
• Community groups
• Employers and employee groups
• Networking organizations
• Private groups and educational events

The purpose of these presentations is education and awareness. Individual legal questions and recommendations are addressed through the appropriate attorney consultation.

How the Process Works

1. Initial Conversation

AMN begins by learning where the client is in the estate planning process and explaining how the AmeriEstate Legal Plan process works.

2. Education & Intake

Clients receive general estate planning education and complete the information-gathering process needed to prepare for attorney review.

3. Enrollment

Clients choosing to proceed are assisted with enrollment and the appropriate intake process through the AmeriEstate Legal Plan.

4. Attorney Consultation

A licensed provider attorney meets with the client to discuss the client’s circumstances, answer legal questions, provide legal advice, and determine the appropriate estate planning documents.

5. Document Preparation

The estate planning documents are prepared through the attorney-led legal plan process.

6. Delivery & Execution

Once the completed estate plan is ready, AMN can coordinate personal delivery, document execution, notarization when required, and witness arrangements when applicable.

7. Completion Support

AMN remains available to help clients understand the administrative next steps associated with receiving and organizing their completed estate planning portfolio while referring legal questions back to the appropriate attorney.

Trust Delivery & Signing Services

Proper execution is an important final stage of the estate planning process.

Amber-Nichole has specialized training in trust delivery and estate document execution and can coordinate the completed signing appointment, including notarization and witnesses when required.

The objective is to provide clients with a calm, organized signing experience while ensuring legal questions remain with the attorney responsible for the estate plan.
